Carisma RP5, an Egyptian-made plastomer waterproofing membrane, is manufactured using advanced continuous calendering technology. This process involves saturating and coating a synthetic carrier material, a waterproofing compound made from a special type of bitumen modified with APP polymers. While these modifiers improve the thermal, mechanical, and aging properties of the membrane composite, Carisma RP5's mechanical properties are enhanced by a continuous-spun-filament nonwoven polyester carrier material, which acts as a backing to reinforce the membrane and give it exceptional tensile strength, tear resistance, puncture resistance, and elongation properties.
