Expansion joint cords are a non-resilient chemical compound,
consisting of a bond between closed-cell polyethylene foam.
They expand 5 to 30 times. They are lightweight, durable,
and shock-absorbing materials with high thermal insulation
properties, water resistance, and high weather and chemical
resistance. Polyrod cords are protected against the infiltration
of gases and inorganic solutions.
